Emily and Mike at Barnsdale Gardens

A stunning summer weekend wedding,
with boho elements to full on party vibes!

We honestly couldn’t recommend Becky enough. She really listens to the vision you want to create for your wedding day and offers you all the support you need to ensure that comes to life. On the day itself she was an absolute life saver, we didn’t have to do a thing which really took all the pressure away. She was happy to do all the communicating between suppliers and resolved any issues that arose on the day without us even knowing.

It was so refreshing to work with a stylist who isn’t bound by traditions. Becky really made us feel confident in the things we did or didn’t want for our wedding. She is incredibly creative and has an amazing selection of props you can borrow as part of her package. If you are looking for a down to earth, relaxed stylist who is willing to go the extra mile to make sure the wedding day is 100% you, then Becky is your girl.

Emily and Mike

Wow! What a wedding weekend! From ceremony set up, intimate dinner table to full on venue change to get the party vibes going.
This modern boho style was a pleasure to set up and here is the low down of what I got up to.

Emily and Mike hired me to set up their wedding weekend and coordinate the day. Emily was on point with her organisation skills and needed a helping hand on the day, so she didn’t have to lift a finger. We firstly had a site visit at their Reception venue. We spoke about venue decor ideas and also what we could or couldn’t do at the venue. Emily and Mike vision was to create a relaxed ceremony and then go OTT for their reception. Which you know I was totally game for!

On Friday 3rd June, I arrived at the venue. Emily and her friend Jenny, had created an intimate wedding breakfast. Previously myself and the couple discussed ideas on the vision of the table and I was there to help style it and complete the final finishing touches. It was then time to collect the van they had hired to get furniture dropped off and styled at their Ceremony venue.
The Barnsdale Gardens.

I arrived at the Gardens and was greeted by Charlotte the wedding coordinator at the venue. We worked together to unload the van and drop off at the space within the gardens. We had additional furniture arriving at the venue which was dropped off by Dottie Events and Hire. I then styled the furniture to create a ceremony area. Which was chilled and relaxing. Emily Tallulah supplied florals and created a beautiful flower arch, which complimented the gardens and framed the arch to create a focus point for the ceremony.

Guests and the cool and calm Mike arrived with his hand cream just incase…just incase the ring didn’t fit ;). I had the honour of playing the wedding music throughout the ceremony. The pressure was on, but approval from the groom had me all relaxed..The ‘you didn’t fuck up’ comment was a highlight! After the ceremony, I relocated the furniture to create lounge areas for guest to mingle and enjoy their afternoon teas. Drinks and laughs were served and it was just pour happiness for everyone all round.

The couple and guests then headed back to The Diary, for the final events of the wedding breakfast and chill before the big party the next day. I stayed at the gardens to make sure everything was cleared and all items were in the van ready to use again for the party.

Saturday 4th June, was party day!! I was back at The Diary, where Emily and Mike had hired the venue for the weekend for their celebrations.
It was all hands on deck to clear all the existing furniture in the house and create empty spaces for me to work my magic.

The outdoor space was styled with the vintage furniture, Photo Booth, bar and outdoor games. The couple reused a lot of the florals from the ceremony to make stunning backdrops for their guest. We also made the bar area look extra special. Reusing florals from the ceremony to reception, is always a fab idea to save on your budget.

I was there all day on hand to welcome suppliers, help them set up and make sure everything was running smoothly on the day. Even with a couple of suppliers late, I made sure there was music and games playing to occupy the guests. It is important that I made sure the couple weren’t aware of any ‘mistakes’ on the day. I want them to feel relaxed and not have to stress. It is my job to make sure they are having the best day they can!

The venue itself was transferred from a dining room to party room!  The floor was cleared and we added in pink wall lights, disco balls, neons and the couple hired a silent disco. You wouldn’t of even thought this was a house and not a wedding venue.

I have to say, if you ever want a silent disco at your wedding. DO IT. I have not laughed out loud like that in a very long time. The singing and the dance moves was a big highlight of the evening.
The night came to a close and I cleared the outdoor space, whilst the guests and couple continued their epic dance moves.

I then headed back on Sunday 4th, to help clear the rest of the furniture. Making sure suppliers were aware of collections and let the couple enjoy the rest of their weekend.
It was a weekend filled with everything you could wish for in a wedding. Stunning ceremony, surprises, fun, laugher and amazing dance moves!

Thank you to Emily and Mike for allowing me to be apart of your day. I still can’t get over my Jager lamp!!
