on the day stationery

by May 7, 2020Wedding advice

so who loves stationery?….i know i do!!!
what i love most about it, is its ability to help bring the wedding styling together.
from it being consistent throughout the event, to showcasing what type of wedding you are hosting.
i attended a style shoot back in march at the awesome giraffe shed venue, which just shouted all kinds of coolness.
here i was given the opportunity to create the stationery and styling for the shoot.
i was very lucky to work with an incredible team, and wanted to showcase how having the design and styling
elements working together, can really make a reception party stand out.
below you will see the stationery i created for the shoot,
but i will also list what other on the day stationery you might find useful having at your wedding!

 welcome signage

from tongue in cheek messages to your classic welcome signs.
these are great for making your guests know where the entrance of ceremony will be.
added arrows can help for any venues which have hidden doorways. you could also display
personal messages on signage which really shows the personality of you as a couple.

table plans

one of the first things your guests spot at the reception.
it is probably one of your hardest item to plan but definitely fun to make!
guests love table plans so why not give them the wow factor and make them stand out.

place cards

a given if you’re having a table plan. making sure your guests sit in the right spots is very important…
esp for those fussy eaters out there. guests find their tables smoothly and it helps any catering staff know who is who.
place cards can be simply a card or you can combine your favours and place cards together for a double whammy.
these probably aren’t needed if you’re having a free for all seating plan
but a nice added touch to bring your table to life.

added extras

if i’m honest, i just love bespoke signage which is personal to the couple.
it rings all the bells for being unique and shows off your personality.
from banners (which was made by jenni  at handmadesignco) to wooden signs.
it just add that little extra something to the day.
