They tied the knot, then hit the pub!

Fern & Alex started their day at Dudley Registry Office, where they made it official in a relaxed and intimate ceremony. After saying “I do,” they took some beautiful couple photos to capture the moment before heading straight to The Crown, Iverley in their camper van for an epic evening of fun, music, and pub vibes!

A Pub Wedding?? Yes, Please!

Forget fancy ballrooms and stiff seating plans—Fern & Alex took over their favourite pub and turned it into the ultimate wedding venue. The Crown, Iverley, was the perfect backdrop for their laid-back, music-filled day. Set in their pub garden was a stunning tipi, perfect for a party atmosphere.

Think pints over posh cocktails, a cosy atmosphere, and all their favourite people in one place.

They did it their way

From the start, Fern & Alex knew they didn’t want a traditional wedding. No formalities, no pressure—just pure joy and a day that reflected them. They skipped the usual wedding fuss and instead focused on what actually mattered: good food, great music, and having the best time ever!

They created a colourful palette to add in that fun vibe, provided lots of party props, like glow sticks and colourful sunglasses. They also created personalised place cards for each guest. Celebrating them as a person and giving them all 5 star ratings!

With a personalised playlist and a live singer with plenty of singalongs, music was a huge part of the day. Guests danced, sang, and soaked up the festival-style energy that made this wedding so unique. No awkward silences, no forced traditions—just non-stop fun!

Instead of a formal sit-down meal, they went for proper pub food that everyone actually wanted to eat! No tiny portions or fussy courses—just delicious, hearty food to fuel the dancing (and drinking!).

As their wedding stylist, I helped Fern & Alex visualise their perfect day, offering support on what to buy and how to bring it all together. The venue’s tipi setup was a mix of my props and the amazing DIY items the couple had created, making everything feel so personal and unique. To add the final touch, I even put together the bud vases using the beautiful flowers they had provided, tying the whole look together with a relaxed and effortless charm.

NO STRESS, JUST PURE JOY

The best part? Fern & Alex enjoyed their day without any wedding stress. They kept things simple, fun, and true to themselves, proving that you really don’t have to follow traditions if they don’t suit you!

So, if you’re dreaming of a chilled, personality-packed wedding that’s all about good vibes and great memories, take a leaf out of Fern & Alex’s book… and maybe head to your favourite pub!
