The highlights
Colour Everywhere!!
Forget the green and white wedding vibe – this real wedding was a colour explosion!
From the moment guests stepped in, they were hit with a riot of colour. Forget neutral palettes—Emily and Elliot went all out with bold, bespoke streamers hanging from the ceiling, adding the ultimate pop to the space. The Shack Revolution, with its cool industrial feel, was the perfect blank canvas for their bright and beautiful vision.
Forget the formalities – Bingo, anyone??
After the ceremony and a few drinks, Emily and Elliot hosted their very own bingo! It was hilarious! I even had a game myself. Guests got competitive, the laughter was non-stop, and it was the perfect icebreaker to get everyone mingling. The prizes tho were very questionable hehe. This could be a great idea if you didn’t want to do speeches.
Food made for sharing
These two wanted a relaxed, sociable vibe, so they ditched the traditional sit-down meal for epic sharing boards. It kept things casual, interactive, and totally in line with their vision of a wedding that felt like a big, love-filled gathering of their favourite people.
A little wedding styling tip here – always check how much room your catering team need for sharing boards. Keep the middle of your table clear to allow room for this. It is always good to check this first before looking into your decor…Noone wants to spend the reception moving candles and flowers cause it’s all in the way!
A retro photobooth and sweet treats
A wedding needs a little nostalgia, right? Emily and Elliot nailed it with a retro photobooth, it was super cool and agline with the super stylish couple.
And the cherry on top? An ice cream machine with lots of different toppings! Because who doesn’t want a mid-dancefloor snack of soft-serve goodness?
Dancefloor Mayhem
Speaking of dancing—this crowd did not hold back! From the first dance to wild singalongs, the energy was unreal. No stuffy traditions, just pure, unfiltered joy and some serious moves on the dancefloor. A sign to get yourself some epic entertainment to keep the party going!
Emily and Elliot’s wedding was proof that you can do things your way—ditch the rulebook, embrace the fun, and create a day that’s as unique as you are. If you’re planning your own non-traditional wedding, take this as your sign to go bold, go colourful, and most importantly—go you!
